Reporting to the Water Treatment Coordinator, the Water Treatment Supervisor oversees the teams of workers responsible for operating the water treatment systems and assists the Water Treatment Coordinator with their duties and responsibilities.

The incumbent will be required to work closely with staff from various partner companies, external consultants, and other members of the Company, depending on the projects and expected results. Based at the Windfall site, located in the

Northern Quebec region, the incumbent will work an 8-day work schedule followed by 6 days off. Transportation, lodging, and meals are provided. Temporary position for 2 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise operators, technicians, and skilled laborers involved in effluent treatment;

• Effectively allocate resources to meet treatment objectives and maintain quality standards;





• Ensure the proper operation of the effluent treatment system;

• Ensure the proper operation of the drinking water supply system and septic systems;

• Oversee seasonal water management and prepare water treatment plants for various water management scenarios on-site;

• Monitor and analyze process data to ensure environmental targets are met and water treatment systems perform effectively;

• Support the maintenance of surface water management infrastructure;

• Ensure the proper preparation and distribution of daily and weekly operational reports;

• Work as part of a team through collaboration, information sharing, and effective communication;

• Promote and uphold the Company’s values;

• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements at every stage of treatment operations;

• Perform any other duties related to the Water Treatment Supervisor position.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a college certificate in water treatment or equivalent training;

• Have more than (5) years of relevant experience in a mining or industrial setting and in managing industrial water treatment operations, preferably in a mining context;

• Have a minimum of (2) years of team management experience;

• Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;

• Be fluent in spoken and written English. Will be required to supervise English-speaking workers on a daily basis.

Technical Skills





• Be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.);

• Have excellent knowledge of industrial water treatment processes, ideally in a mining environment:

· pH adjustment and neutralization.

· Coagulation and flocculation;

· Treatment of metals in solution by precipitation;

· Solid-liquid separation using DAF, Geotube, weighted flocculation, fabric filters, or other technologies;

· Biological treatment of nitrogen compounds, including nitrification and denitrification;

· Drinking water treatment, including filtration, UV disinfection, and chlorine dosing;

• Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.
