Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with skillful precision and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Select fresh ingredients, including fish, vegetables, and rice, ensuring quality control at every step of food preparation
- Serve guests promptly with friendly, professional service that enhances their dining experience
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency across all dishes
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of supply needs
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service hours





Experience

- Proven food service experience in a restaurant environment, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation
- Solid background in food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation within the food industry
- Familiarity with serving guests in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling raw fish and perishable ingredients
- Previous kitchen experience involving food preparation, cooking, and plating in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
