Elevate student support with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as a part-time Educational Assistant. This role focuses on helping students with exceptional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Educational Assistant for a 50% term position, working 17.5 hours weekly. This role involves collaborating with teaching staff to provide academic and personal support for students, enhancing their learning experiences.

Responsibilities also include assisting students with various needs, modifying programs, and some yard duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support students with Autism and developmental disabilities
- Assist in academic programs and special projects




- Modify educational support plans as needed
- Participate in outdoor and pool duties
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements:

- Community college diploma in Developmental Services or related
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with special needs children
- First Aid/CPR Level C certification is a plus
- Training in Behaviour Management Systems preferred
- Strong observational and reporting skills
