Enhance the educational journey of Indigenous youth with the Williams Lake First Nation as an Indigenous Education Enhancement Worker. This permanent, full-time role prioritizes literacy and numeracy for K4 to Grade 6, ensuring student success.
Join WLFN's Education Team to support students from K4 to Grade 12, focusing on academic enhancement and personal growth. With a strong emphasis on Indigenous culture, you'll collaborate closely with Education Assistants, school counsellors, and teachers to create a supportive setting. Your organization and professionalism will help students thrive and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain contact with students, parents, and teachers
• Foster positive relationships to enhance student engagement




• Track student progress using MyEd/CIMS online programs
• Facilitate a safe and open learning climate
• Support students needing assistance to reach grade level
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years post-secondary training in relevant fields
• 6 months Youth and Family Worker experience
• Level one First Aid and Food Safe certifications
• Class 5 license required
