Capital Markets Sales / Research Associate

Our client, a leadingprovider of capital markets services, is looking for a highlymotivated full-time Institutional licensed sales and research associate inToronto. This position will be at the junior to mid level depending on skillset and experience. The associate is primarily responsible for clientservice by managing existing relationships, building new relationships throughstrategic initiatives, and ensuring the process is handled with care andprofessionalism.This associate willhave the opportunity to work with the entire sales, research and tradingteam.

Thesuccessful candidate will possess the highest level of customer service skills,professionalism, attention to detail, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be knowledgeable incapital markets and financial analysis, and all equity classes in the Canadianmarket.

The role offers candidates an opportunity togain valuable, hands‑on work experience that is focused on the financialmarkets. In Canada, we are primarily organized into industry teams of Energy & Natural Resources, Technology,Consumer, Diversified Industries, and Mining.The role of sales associate is challenging, fun and fast‑paced. It requires dedication and passion for the financial industry.

Responsibilities:





- Buildand maintain strong relationships with prospective and current clients with afocus on service
- Ensurethat client queries are responded to in a prompt and polite manner and maintain the relations with the client and the reputation of the firm
- Developand implement strategies to increase the firm network, and scope of service forexisting and potential clients
- Maintainup‑to‑date client files and information on the appropriate systems
- Assistin various marketing efforts such as creating presentations, webinars, andeducational materials
- Adhereto all regulatory policies by remaining up to date with all regulatoryrules and activities as they relate to transactions and ensuring that clientinteractions are accurately documented

Qualifications:

- Ahigh regard for detail and accuracy are essential
- 2-5years of work experience in the Securities Industry, preferably on an institutional or retail desk
- Undergraduatedegree with a background in business, finance or economics preferred
- Completionof CSC and CPH and licensing with IIROC required
- Knowledgeof financial services industry products and services
- Strongclient service with transparent written and verbal communication skills and detailoriented
- Goodorganization and administrative capabilities
- Familiarwith back office procedures and front office administration
