Lead the Planning & Development operations for the County of Wetaskiwin. This role requires strategic oversight, budget management, and team leadership to ensure adherence to municipal regulations.

As the Director of Planning & Development, you will join the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. Your key areas of responsibility will include mentoring staff, managing budgets, and guiding land development projects. This role offers the chance to impact both short and long-term planning efforts, while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: • Manage Planning & Development department operations and staff • Oversee municipal planning bylaws and policies compliance • Liaise with Council, developers,



and external agencies • Develop and implement municipal master plans • Coordinate planning and land use studies

Requirements: • Minimum 5 years in Planning & Development • Experience in municipal land use and regulations • Robust leadership and conflict resolution skills • Proven communication abilities with stakeholders • University degree in Land Use Planning or related field
