In this 35-hour role, the Indigenous Education Worker collaborates closely with teachers and administrators, advocating for Indigenous students while facilitating their participation in the educational process. Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with teachers and community agencies
• Conduct home and community visits regularly
• Support classroom teachers in meeting educational needs
• Develop academic/social interventions for students
• Promote Indigenous cultural events and activities
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• 60 college credits, including First Nations courses
• Two years of experience with Indigenous children
• Valid British Columbia driver's license
• Solid communication skills in English
