Location: Various locations across Alberta
As aNurse Practitioner (NP), you will play a vital role in providing high-qualityhealthcare services to patients across diverse settings. Your responsibilitieswill include conducting assessments, diagnosing and treating health conditions,and developing comprehensive care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Performthorough physical examinations and health assessments to evaluate patient needsand conditions.
- Diagnoseand manage acute and chronic illnesses, developing treatment plans that includemedication management and lifestyle recommendations.
- Collaboratewith healthcare teams, including physicians and specialists, to ensure cohesivepatient care and follow-up.
- Educatepatients and their families on health management, treatment options, andpreventive care strategies to promote wellness.
- Maintainaccurate and timely records of patient encounters, treatment plans, andoutcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Stayinformed about the latest advancements in healthcare practices and contributeto quality improvement initiatives within the organization.
- Serve as a patient advocate, providing supportand guidance throughout the healthcare process while respecting patientautonomy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Valid state NP license and current CPR certification.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred; specialized training in areas such as family practice, pediatrics, or geriatrics is a plus.
- Robust clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring confidentiality.
