Transportation Equipment Network (TEN) is proud North American leader in transportation equipment and solutions. We’re full-service and fully loaded with an industry-leading diverse fleet of over 80,000 trailers and a support network of 240 service bays, 118 mobile service trucks, and 430+ skilled mechanics.
As a Shunt Driver in our Lachine branch, you’ll be moving semi-trailers and various other pieces of equipment within the yard and workshop bays.
The successful candidate will be performing the following duties:
- Movement of semi-trailers and other various equipment around the yard.
- Welcome customers and ensure vehicles are correctly positioned for service.
- Conducting as-needed pre-trip inspections.
- Assisting technicians and maintaining shop cleanliness.
- Conduct return inspections when necessary.
- Performing inventory checks in the yard
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 License and clear Driver’s Abstract.
- Experience operating Capacity or Ottawa style shunt trucks (asset).
- 1 year of shunt driving experience.
- Strong customer service skills,
with demonstrated patience and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
