Take the lead in enhancing employee experiences at BC Ferries as an HR Manager. This position focuses on strategic guidance, labor relations, and creating a supportive workplace environment.
In this role, you’ll report to the Director of People Experience, utilizing your HR expertise to shape organizational culture. You are expected to implement effective strategies in labor relations, employee development, and attendance management while advising leaders. Your contributions will directly impact workforce engagement and operational success at our diverse, unionized workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies aligning HR with operational objectives
• Ensure HR policies comply with provincial employment laws
• Collaborate with leaders to recommend workforce solutions




• Conduct internal workplace investigations as needed
• Manage employee relations and provide conflict resolution guidance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field
• 5-7 years in progressive HR roles, including union environments
• Solid knowledge of labor relations and HR best practices
• Familiarity with HRIS and workforce analytics platforms
• Proven communication and leadership skills
