Speech & Language Teaching Assistant - Windsor - Immediate Start

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant who is considering a future career in Speech and Language Therapy, Education, Psychology, Special Educational Needs (SEN), or Social Work and wants to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs.

As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils and small groups, providing targeted support to help develop their speech, language, communication, and social interaction skills . You will work alongside teachers, the SEN team, and other professionals to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

- Speech & Language Support: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Implement Strategies: Support speech and language activities and interventions recommended by teachers, SEN staff, or Speech and Language Therapists.




- Facilitate Learning: Help pupils access the curriculum by adapting activities, modelling language, and using appropriate communication strategies.
- Develop Communication Skills: Encourage pupils to develop their vocabulary, listening, understanding, expressive language, and social communication skills.
- Track Progress: Monitor and record pupils' progress and share observations with the class teacher, SENCO, and relevant professionals.
- Promote Confidence: Create a nurturing and supportive workplace that encourages pupils to communicate, participate, and develop independence.
- Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, the SEN team, parents, and external professionals to provide consistent support and implement effective strategies.

- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: 92.59 - 95 per day
- Hours: Full time, 8:30am - 4:00pm
