Serving domestic and international sectors for over 45 years, we bring a strong and innovative approach to the industry.If you have a strong work ethic, are motivated, and want to be part of a collaborative and continuously growing team, this opportunity is for you.YOUR ROLEAs a Diesel Truck Mechanic, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on GT Group's fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing issues identified during inspections and carrying out the necessary repairs.You will contribute to the truck maintenance team by performing, among other duties, the following tasks:Preventive and scheduled repairs;Review and follow work order instructions from start to finish;Document all parts used and enter comments in work orders (complaint, cause, and correction) regarding repairs;Test systems and components using diagnostic equipment and other computerized testing tools to isolate faults;Inform the shift supervisor and/or fleet manager of any additional repairs required;Identify warranty-covered repairs.Note:
This job description is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned by management.REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated diagnostic and time-management skills will be key to your success in this role;Experience using computers for work order data entry;Minimum of 3 to 5 years of previous experience as a truck mechanic;Knowledge of air brakes and electrical diagnostics;Experience with Freightliner, International, Volvo, and/or Paccar OEM equipment is an asset;Experience replacing clutches and performing engine diagnostics, including integrated powertrain experience;Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and multitask in a rapid-paced environment;Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety regulations;Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative to prevent problems;Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional, and a positive team member;Intermediate to advanced French language skills, both spoken and written;Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.BENEFITSComprehensive group insurance after 90 days of employment (health, disability, dental, life, travel insurance, and telemedicine services);Free on-site parking;Company events throughout the year;Friendly, close-knit team environment.GT Group is committed to employment equity.
