We have immediate openings for Journeyman or 3rd Year Millwrights with Grande Prairie Lumber. The successful individuals will report to the Dryside Maintenance Team Leader.
Expectations for the role involve a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, technical skill development, and adaptability to business needs.
Preventative/Proactive Maintenance: Ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently by performing regular maintenance tasks.
-Technical Training: Participate in training as needed to maintain and improve technical proficiency.
-Apprenticeship: Actively participate in the apprenticeship program for skill development and trade certification
Be a Registered Journeyperson Millwright and have Journeyperson Certification. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
-Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning.
-Computer skills, particularly in SAP, and the ability to achieve competency in Process Logic Control (PLC) systems.
-Commitment to safety standards, policies, and a Low absence level.
-Behavior aligned with the company’s safety vision, policies, and site principles.
Electrical/Mechanical, Reliability, Process Controls, Operations).
-Ability to work a compressed work schedule, including weekends and nightshifts.
Proven technical and leadership skills.
