Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to drive advancements in industrial automation and control systems for their operations in Kimberley . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of automated processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies, lead automation projects, and provide expert guidance to the engineering team. Design, develop, and implement automation control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA). Program and troubleshoot various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley). Develop and maintain system documentation, including P&IDs;, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams. Lead automation project execution, from concept to commissioning and validation. Optimize existing automation systems for improved performance and efficiency.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering. Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial networks. Experience with robotics and motion control systems is highly desirable.
