Lomita Tutoring is looking for a reliable and personable part time tutor to provide in-person academic
support to students in Okotoks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, communicates
clearly, and is comfortable supporting students in one or more K-12 subject areas. Tutoring sessions are
scheduled based on student demand and tutor availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring support to students in assigned subject areas
- Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to each student’s learning style
- Help students strengthen their understanding, confidence, study skills, and academic
Performance
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and the Lomita Tutoring team
Qualifications:
- Reliable, qualified, patient, and comfortable working independently with students
- Strong academic background in the subject(s) you wish to tutor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to travel to in-person tutoring sessions within Okotoks
- Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or experience working with youth is an asset, but not
required

Wage/ Salary: Starting at $19.75 h
