Become a Teaching Assistant for CIVL 4020 at the University of Manitoba. This role includes preparing instructional materials and engaging with students to enhance their learning experience.
The University of Manitoba’s Civil Engineering department is looking for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Seminar Leader for the Masonry Design course (CIVL 4020 A01). Applicants should have familiarity with the course content and should commit to the entire appointment from January 11 to April 16, 2027. Key responsibilities involve conducting tutorials and marking student work while maintaining an engaging learning workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend orientation and planning meetings
• Prepare and present instructional materials




• Mark and provide feedback on student assignments
• Hold office hours for student consultations
• Attend lectures and support course delivery
Requirements:
• Completed academic studies in relevant field
• Empathetic approach to student support
• Proficiency in English communication
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Enrollment as a full-time student at UM
