Contribute to vital research on sexualized violence with the Dalhousie Student Union from November 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. This role offers a chance to influence policy while earning recognition and an honorarium.
In this research role, you will work under the guidance of Anjali Seshadri, DSU President. Your focus will include formulating a Sexualized Violence Issues Policy and examining historical approaches at Dalhousie University. Additionally, you will review literature and policies from other student unions while developing trauma-informed practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce rationale for a Sexualized Violence Issues Policy
• Analyze historical support mechanisms at Dalhousie
• Review relevant literature and best practices
• Provide regular updates at committee meetings
• Present research findings to Council
Requirements:
• Robust research and analysis skills
• Familiarity with sexualized violence advocacy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Time management to meet deadlines
