Full time 6 months contract with possibility of extension

The Physiotherapist works as part of the interprofessional team to define and work with patients to achieve their individual goals. They develop and implement individualized care programs that address functional decline and support a discharge back to the community. The Physiotherapist works closely with the Rehabilitation Assistants and other members of the care team in providing care to a predominately geriatric population.
Qualifications:
· Current registration in valuable standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
· Experience in geriatrics, assistive mobility device prescription, leadership and rehabilitation preferred
· Experience working in rehabilitation, hospital, long term care,
or similar healthcare settings preferred.
· Strong knowledge of physical assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work with patients who have varying levels of mobility and physical ability.
