The City of Penticton is searching for a permanent full time Procurement Associate. In this role, you will provide procurement guidance across departments, ensuring compliance and delivering best value for the City. You’ll manage varied procurement activities while collaborating with suppliers, consultants, and stakeholders to meet critical operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide procurement support throughout the lifecycle process
• Administer competitive procurement processes including RFQs and RFPs
• Ensure compliance with legislation and City policies
• Lead pre-bid meetings and manage stakeholder inquiries
• Conduct evaluations and negotiate contract terms
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in procurement
• Knowledge of public sector procurement principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems and electronic bidding platforms
• Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's Licence
