Temporary Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales (Maternity Leave Coverage)
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Customer Service Representative / Inside Salesperson to provide temporary maternity leave coverage at our plumbing and electrical supply store. The successful candidate will assist customers in person and over the phone, prepare orders and quotations, and help customers select the appropriate plumbing and electrical products. Previous industry knowledge is required, as this position involves working directly with contractors and customers who rely on accurate product information.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers in person, by phone and by email
Process customer orders and prepare quotations
Provide product information and help customers find suitable materials
Maintain solid relationships with customers and contractors
Coordinate with coworkers to ensure orders are completed accurately
Perform general customer-service and sales-counter duties
Qualifications:
Previous plumbing, electrical or related building-supply knowledge is required
Customer-service or inside-sales experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working with computers and processing orders
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
English is required; French is considered an asset
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; employer sponsorship is not available
Position details:
Temporary, full time maternity leave coverage
Contract length: Minimum 14 months
Expected start date: As soon as possible
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
No evenings or weekends
Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and industry knowledge
