Labourer / Future Lead Hand – $20–$30/hr

Iron Horse Outdoor Services Ltd. – Chilliwack, BC

I'm looking for a high-energy, reliable person to work directly alongside me on excavation, drainage, hardscaping and outdoor construction projects throughout Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley.

Starting wage: $20–$25/hour depending on experience and ability.

Up to $30/hour for someone who can prove they can operate at a lead-hand level and independently handle the work I currently do.

This is a physically demanding job. There will be hand digging, shovelling gravel and soil, loaded wheelbarrows, moving materials, demolition, compaction and cleanup. You need to be comfortable getting dirty and able to maintain a solid pace throughout a full workday.

Our work includes gravel driveways, drainage, trenching, excavation, grading, concrete prep, retaining walls, demolition, land clearing and tractor/dump-trailer work.

What I'm looking for
Drivers license ( trailer towing)
Can work alone or in team environments
Reliable and on time
High energy and physically capable
Works hard without needing someone constantly pushing them
Pays attention and thinks about what needs to happen next
Interested in trucks, trailers and equipment
Takes care of tools and equipment
Qualified around customers

Wants to learn and take on responsibility

Experience with tractors, mini excavators, skid steers, dump trailers, landscaping or construction is a strong asset, but I'm willing to train someone who has the right attitude and work ethic.

There's a real opportunity to move up.

I don't just need another set of hands. I'm looking for someone who could eventually become my right-hand person.

Learn how we build the jobs. Learn the equipment. Learn to tow and operate the trailers. Learn material quantities, grades, drainage and jobsite organization. Eventually, I want someone who can look at what needs to happen and get it done without me standing beside them.

If you can eventually do what I do, I'll pay you accordingly.

$20–$25/hr starting
Up to $30/hr for proven experience, capability and responsibility

Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation is a must.

If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you're looking for, send me a message with a little about yourself, your work experience and any equipment you've operated.
