We are a GMP manufacturer of health food and dietary supplements. We are growing, and we are looking for a General Manager who can turn our operations into a clear, well-documented, repeatable system.

As General Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations and own the company's overall performance. Your most important job is to work with every department and define transparent, written processes for how each position does its work. You will make sure everyone knows what they do, how to do it, and who they hand off to.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Building and Cross-Department Collaboration (Core Duty)
Meet regularly with Production, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, Regulatory, R&D;, Finance, and HR to understand how each role works today.
Create, document, and maintain transparent step-by-step procedures (SOPs), workflows, and job instructions for every position.
Define responsibilities, handoffs, and approval points between departments to remove confusion and duplicated work.
Train department heads and staff on recent processes and confirm they are followed.
Review processes regularly and improve them based on feedback, errors, and audit results.
Build an organization chart and role descriptions so every employee knows their scope and reporting line.





Operations Management
Oversee manufacturing, packaging, inventory, and shipping to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Plan production schedules with Purchasing and Sales to balance demand and capacity.
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, yield, and waste reduction.

Quality and Compliance
Make sure operations meet GMP and applicable regulations (e.g., Health Canada NHP regulations, site licensing, FDA requirements if exporting).
Support audits and inspections by regulators, certifiers, and customers.
Work closely with QA to maintain documentation, traceability, and corrective action programs.

Business and Financial Leadership
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support strategic planning, new product launches, and customer and supplier relationships.
Report regularly to ownership/executive leadership.

People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop department managers and their teams.
Build a culture of accountability, safety, and open communication.
Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and succession planning.
