Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Experience 7 years of experience managing a client service focused team in the delivery of enterprise-wide supply chain management functions including contracting and procurement in a large publicly funded multi-enterprise network, preferably in the public sector and/or health, with 5 years of experience:
Managing supply chain within a category management environment, developing strategic approaches in a multi-facility / entity organization
Creating and leading collaborative teams, mentoring and building individual and team capacity to support full staff and engagement and performance
Leading business transformation programs in supply chain management
Developing and implementing customer-focused annual operating plans and leading strategic sourcing plans,
contracting and procurement
Influencing executive and senior management, key stakeholders, and negotiating and managing vendor contracts for outsourced materials and services
Working with enterprise resources planning systems in contracting and procurement (e.g. SAP)
Creating metrics and quantitative reporting of organizational performance against established targets
Other combinations of work experience and qualifications may be considered.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Post-secondary degree in supply chain management, business administration, commerce or a related field from an accredited education institution
Additional specialized training in supply chain management, particularly category management and strategic sourcing is preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate
Supply Chain Management Skilled (SCMP); or related designation in logistics or supply chain are assets
Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings at multiple client sites,
and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
Interruptions to respond to questions are common dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled
Travel throughout the province requiring a bvalid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
