Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our non-sterile compounding pharmacy. This is a laboratory-based position with no patient or public interaction.
Responsibilities
Prepare non-sterile compounded medications according to prescriptions, MFRs, and SOPs.
Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
Perform calculations and verify ingredients, lot numbers, and expiry dates.
Complete compounding and batch documentation.
Maintain inventory and proper ingredient storage.
Clean and maintain compounding equipment and work areas.
Follow USP <795>, NAPRA standards, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
Follow procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality.
Qualifications
Registered/Licensed Pharmacy Technician as required by provincial regulations.
Non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, MFRs, SOPs, and compounding procedures.
Ability to work independently in a laboratory setting.
Knowledge of hazardous ingredient handling is an asset.
