Burke Group of Companies is looking for a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our Edmonton Team!

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday with some overtime

Our Ideal candidate will demonstrate tremendous attention to detail, excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced/ deadline driven environment.

Responsibilities:
Verify shipments while loading vehicle
Deliver orders to specified addresses
Operate a 5-ton delivery truck
Communicate in a professional manner with shipping/dispatch
Portray a safe and qualified image when representing Burke Group
Assist shipping team preparing deliveries and posting to track pod
Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, stair climbers, dollies etc)
Be highly customer focused with the ability to exceed expectations
Maintain a clean and tidy work vehicle
Perform daily vehicle inspections
Maintain daily vehicle logs
Complete daily trip logs
Perform shipping and receiving duties when not on the road
Unload shipments from suppliers,



verifying order accuracy.
Load trailers with product for delivery
Manage stock and inventory control.
Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment.
Ensuring product that requires storage is placed in the appropriate area
Maintaining and cleaning warehouse
Assisting with general cleaning of work environment.

Required skills:
Solid attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Able to work both independently and as a team player
Effective communication skills

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year’s experience in shipping, receiving or delivery driving
Forklift experience
Must be able to lift 40 + lbs on a regular basis
Current driver’s license and clean abstract
