Part-Time Optometric Assistant / Medical Office Assistant
1–2 Days per Week

Lens R Us Eye Care is looking for an experienced and dependable Optometric Assistant or Medical Office Assistant to join our team on a part time basis.

This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office who is looking to work an additional one or two days per week.

Responsibilities include:
Welcoming and checking in patients
Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
Performing basic pretesting and assisting with patient flow
Processing insurance and extended-health benefit claims
Supporting the optometrist and front-desk team
Maintaining a professional, organized, and welcoming clinic workplace

Qualifications:




Previous optometric assistant or medical office assistant experience is required
Solid communication and customer-service skills
Comfortable working with computers and clinic-management software
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
Experience with insurance billing and optometric pretesting is an asset

Schedule:
One to two shifts per week
Exact days can be discussed based on clinic needs and the applicant’s availability
Occasional Saturday availability is an asset
