Local Vancouver women’s clothing brand is looking for experienced seamstresses, sewing technicians, and home sewers to help with small production runs of women’s clothing.
This is a contract position, with payment per unit and competitive industry rates. Applicants should ideally be able to pick up and drop off work from our East Vancouver studio.
Requirements:
Solid knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production sewing techniques
Experience with batch production sewing and sewing prototypes
Own industrial sewing equipment and suitable workspace
Experience using industrial single needle, serger, button-hole and coverstitch machines.
Comfortable working with a variety of fabrics, including trickier materials such as cupro and satin
Excellent attention to detail and consistent sewing quality
Skilled, reliable, and able to meet agreed-upon production deadlines. Meeting agreed-upon production deadlines is non-negotiable, as timelines are very crucial for running our business.
This is part-time / occasional production work to start, with the potential for ongoing work for the right person.
