The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will facilitate and provide care to patients during their clinical visit with a family physician, specialist or walk-in physician.
The RPN will function within the job description of a Registered Practical Nurse and in accordance with the College of Nurses Standards of Nursing Practice for Registered Practical Nurses.
The job comprises of:
Performs all medical tasks delegated by the attending physician.
Contributes to ensuring there is a protected environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Maintains secure and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; Calls for assistance from health care support personnel, if required.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient records.
Take all patient vitals and history Maintain patient information electronically
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Current Registration Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of general medicine.
Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with health professionals and patients.
Must possess the ability to function effectively in a clinical setting.
Must be reliable, dependable and adaptable.
Positive attendance record.
Experience with ACCURO EMR is an asset.
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self-management, accountability, flexibility and adaptability.
Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and ability to research on the Internet.
Positive leadership skills and interpersonal and communication skills, including written, to work within a diverse community and ability to deal empathetically with patients, family members, etc., to contribute to their well-being.
Ability to work effectively independently or as a part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
