K-Bro Linen Systems has been a Canadian leader in laundry and linen services since 1954. We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Helper to join us at our production facility located at 8035 Enterprise Street, Burnaby BC

Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment, machinery and operating systems are running and functioning properly at all times
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems etc.
Inspect and measure machinery
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defectives parts as needed
Use and operate hand tools, power tools, machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
Repair and maintain all conveyor belts to ensure smooth running
Performance preventive maintenance and repairs
Support all employees and complete work orders in a timely manner
A great team player
Take initiatives and perform job duties independently
Comply with all company safety guidelines, procedures and policies
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times
Perform other duties in the Maintenance department as required

Candidate Requirements:




Basic electrical knowledge in an industrial environment or technical school
Basic mechanical and electrical installation and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with hand tools, power tools, machine tools such as drills and grinders
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to follow detailed instructions to complete routine procedures and operate equipment
Theoretical and practical knowledge of basic mechanical systems
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to anticipate and identify problems
Good time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills to succeed in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Eagerness and ability to learn recent skills
Must be able to work weekends as well as early or late hours to meet operational needs

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
