We are seeking a energetic and detail-oriented Steel Detailer / Estimator to join our innovative construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating accurate steel estimates for steel structures. Duties
Prepare comprehensive material takeoffs for steel fabrication and erection by analyzing project schematics, drawings, and specifications.
Interpret structural and architectural design drawings design intent and resolve technical issues proactively.
Utilize advanced modeling tools like Bluebeam and Tekla to coordinate steel layouts within larger construction models and detect potential clashes early.
Maintain organized documentation of all drawings, estimates, revisions, and project correspondence for seamless project tracking.
Skills
Proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel.
Robust drafting skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in producing fabrication-ready drawings.
Experience with structural steel detailing and estimation processes within the construction industry.
Familiarity with 3D modeling using Tekla Structures is a plus.
Steel construction experience that provides practical insight into on-site processes and challenges.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and convey technical information clearly.
