Human Resources Manager - Guelph, ON

Our client is a mid-sized manufacturing business specializing in steel fabrication, ASME welding, and process piping, operating in Guelph, Ontario. With a workforce of around 65 employees, the company is family-owned and operated, focusing on growth and fostering a productive, positive work setting.

Our client is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to oversee the day-to-day HR functions and contribute to building a strong, engaged, and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities
Oversee the full range of HR activities for approximately 60 employees.
Lead recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes for new hires.
Develop and maintain job descriptions and employment documentation.
Manage employee records, HR policies, and compliance with Ontario employment legislation (ex. Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act).
Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary processes.
Administer attendance, vacation, and leave policies.
Coordinate employee performance reviews and assist with payroll and advantages administration.
Support workplace health and safety initiatives and manage WSIB-related administration and claims.




Assist with training, orientation, and employee development programs.
Help develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.

Qualifications
3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation.
Experience implementing and training teams on legislative policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with HR/payroll systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software.
CHRP or CHRL designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
