Take the lead in managing Alberta's Crown land as a Senior Land Management Specialist. This full-time role in Edmonton or Calgary focuses on biodiversity and conservation efforts.
As part of the Government of Alberta's Forestry and Parks division, you'll tackle complex land management challenges. Your leadership will guide a multidisciplinary team, overseeing initiatives that balance conservation with recreation, and engage with Indigenous communities. This senior role emphasizes strategic planning and collaboration across various stakeholders to enhance responsible land use and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead programs for responsible Crown land management
• Supervise and mentor land management professionals
• Coordinate trail management and regional planning initiatives




• Facilitate engagements with stakeholders and Indigenous organizations
• Resolve complex issues in land management decision-making
Requirements:
• University degree in natural sciences or related field
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
