Looking to hire a Level II HARP Dental Assistant to join our clinics. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental services and creating a welcoming workplace for patients of all ages. Your expertise will help transform smiles and boost confidence, all while working in a team-oriented setting that values your skills and enthusiasm. The position can be a full time job working in 2 offices, one in Oakville and one in Port Credit or part time in either. Evening hours required to 8pm on Tuesdays and 7pm on Thursdays. All other days start 8am and end at 1 or 3
Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies and equipment
Manage patient flow by checking in patients, updating medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding
Take digital radiographs using AbelDent software
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile setting following infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety
Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including answering phones and managing patient records
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with certification in dental assisting; Level II HARP certified required
Proficiency with dental management software AbelDent
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, pediatrics dentistry, and medical terminology to effectively assist diverse patient needs
Experience in scanning using Itero
Solid communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages and explain procedures clearly
Experience supporting dental teams in busy clinical environments with excellent organizational skills
A positive attitude combined with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities
