Our client is currently looking for an Industrial Painter / Industrial Coatings Applicator to join their team in Chester, Nova Scotia. This full-time, permanent position involves preparing and applying protective coatings to steel and aluminum components, ensuring durability and compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities
Prepare fabricated steel and aluminum components for coating applications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Determine appropriate coating systems, surface preparation methods, and application techniques.
Mix paints and protective coatings to meet project requirements.
Apply coatings using conventional and airless spray equipment,
brushes, and rollers.
Measure and record coating thickness, humidity, temperature, and dew point readings.
Perform quality inspections to ensure coatings meet project standards.

Qualifications
Experience in industrial painting, protective coatings, or a related role.
Industrial Coatings Applicator (ICA) Certification or apprenticeship an asset.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Able to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
Basic math skills for measuring and mixing coatings.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
