We are a family physician's office seeking an experienced medical office receptionist with availability for 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs). Applicant preferably should have prior experience in this field, be professional, organized, motivated, and takes initiative. Experience with EMR preferred.

Job description

General Office Receptionist Job Duties:
Screening incoming telephone calls and booking appointments with the physician
Chart filing
Manage patient flow and the waiting room efficiently
Maintaining patient records, validating patient health cards and updating basic patient demographics
Managing faxes
Serves and protects the health care community by adhering to skilled standards
Job duties may be subject to change in the future

Qualifications and Skills:
Prior medical office/healthcare experience
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Diploma or certificate in Business Admin/Medical Secretary
Proficiency in English
Proficient in medical terminology
Experience with OSCAR EMR and/or AVAROS EMR MANDATORY




General organizational skills
Maintain professional demeanour and maintain patient confidentiality
Ability to work under pressure and execute work in a calm and confident manner
