About the Role
Our client is seeking an Intellectual Property Law Clerk to join their team and provide support on a busy practice focused on patent and trademark litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, file, and manage materials with the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal using applicable e-filing systems
Draft, format, proofread, and revise legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other litigation materials
Manage discovery processes, organize litigation briefs, and maintain electronic files using platforms such as iManage and Case Center
Monitor court schedules, filing deadlines, limitation periods, and other critical dates
Provide day-to-day litigation support to lawyers and assist with the coordination of matters from inception through resolution

What You Bring
3+ years of experience as a Litigation Assistant and/or Law Clerk, ideally within intellectual property or a related litigation practice
Strong understanding of Federal Court procedures and litigation processes
Experience with patent and trademark prosecution is considered an asset
Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive approach to supporting lawyers and managing deadlines
Experience with iManage and Case Center is an asset
Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
