As a Foreperson - Trades Mechanic, you will plan and oversee municipal garage operations, managing a team and implementing maintenance programs for the City’s fleet of automotive and heavy-duty equipment. Your expertise will contribute to budget management, record-keeping, and safety compliance, creating a reliable and effective fleet operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and direct garage operations
• Supervise garage staff and manage maintenance programs
• Evaluate fleet performance and implement repair strategies
• Maintain budgets,



operational reports, and inventory controls
• Liaise with vendors and stakeholders for vehicle procurement
Requirements:
• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent qualification
• Extensive experience as a Journeyman Mechanic
• Supervisory experience in mechanical staff management
• Valid B.C. Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake
• B.C. Certificate of Qualification (Mechanic)
