Sammi & Soup Dumpling is looking for a skilled and reliable Dumpling Chef / Dumpling Maker to join our kitchen team. This position focuses on preparing handmade dumplings, including dough, wrappers, fillings, wrapping, and portioning, while maintaining consistent quality and food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare dumpling dough, wrappers, fillings, and other ingredients.
Hand-wrap dumplings according to restaurant standards for size, shape, and portion.
Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and quality.
Prepare and organize ingredients for daily production.
Monitor ingredient freshness and proper storage.
Keep the dumpling preparation station, equipment, and work surfaces clean and organized.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
Assist with other kitchen preparation and production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Previous dumpling-making, Xiao Long Bao, or kitchen preparation experience is preferred.
Positive hand skills and attention to detail.
Able to work quickly while maintaining consistent quality.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a kitchen team.
Strong understanding of cleanliness and food safety.
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive food-preparation tasks.
Willing to learn and follow our preparation standards.
