Academix is looking for an experienced bilingual elementary school tutor to work with students in the Westmount and NDG areas.
We are seeking someone who is comfortable tutoring in both English and French and has experience supporting elementary-aged students academically. Experience with early literacy, reading instruction, or helping children learn to read is a robust asset.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one, in-person tutoring to elementary school students
Support students in English and/or French, depending on their needs
Help strengthen foundational academic skills and build confidence
Communicate professionally and reliably with families and Academix
Qualifications
Fully bilingual in English and French
Previous teaching, tutoring, educational, or child-development experience
Experience working with elementary-aged children
Reliable and available consistently after school
Experience with reading intervention, literacy, phonics, or reading remediation is an asset
Compensation
Tutors set their own hourly rate,
and Academix pays the full rate requested. We do not deduct a percentage or commission from your tutoring rate.
Compensation will therefore depend on your experience and usual hourly tutoring rate.
Schedule
Primarily weekday after-school hours. Prospects are matched based on your availability, location, experience, and the needs of individual students.
