We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and clients. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks for long-distance freight transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and freight manifests
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability during trips
Follow safety protocols at all times,
including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to load limits
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
6 months of verifiable experience required
Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes
Skilled in forklift operation and freight handling techniques
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills
Ability to perform detailed safety inspections and troubleshooting on trucks and trailers
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
