Duties
Prepare a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cupcakes, and specialty cakes, ensuring high standards of quality and freshness
Decorate custom cakes with intricate buttercream designs, fondant work, piping, and other advanced cake decorating techniques
Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked items
Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area
Package baked goods securely for display or take-out orders,
ensuring presentation quality and freshness are preserved
Qualifications
Proven experience as a baker with a robust portfolio of decorated cakes and baked goods
Expertise in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant sculpting, airbrushing, and floral design
Prior experience working in a restaurant or food industry environment preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills to assist clients with their custom orders and inquiries
Robust understanding of food preparation, baking processes, and kitchen safety protocols
