Instrumentation Technician – Oilfield Location: Drayton Valley, AB Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Oilfield / Instrumentation
We are looking for an Instrumentation Technician to join our team working on oilfield production equipment, pump jacks, and small oilfield facilities. We are open to 3rd Year, 4th Year, or Journeyman Instrumentation Technicians. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, dependable, and comfortable working in an oilfield environment. Responsibilities
Installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems
Work on pump jacks, production equipment, and small oilfield facilities
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues
Install and terminate instrumentation wiring
Perform instrument calibration and testing
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and loop diagrams
Assist with commissioning and startup activities
Follow all company and site safety procedures
Maintain a clean and qualified work workplace
Requirements
3rd Year, 4th Year, or Journeyman Instrumentation Technician
Valid H2S certification required
Valid First Aid certification required
Oilfield instrumentation experience preferred
Pump jack and production equipment experience is an asset
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Safety-focused attitude and strong work ethic

Dual ticket – Instrumentation & Electrical
Journeyman Electrician certification
Electrical experience
Experience working on pump jacks and oilfield production facilities
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
