Responsibilities
Build and maintain positive and responsive relationships with each child in your care
Apply professional knowledge of child development, learning theories and pedagogical and curriculum approaches to plan, implement, document and assess child-centred, inquiry- and play-based learning experiences
Design and/or modify indoor and outdoor learning environments to support children’s self-regulation, independence, reasonable risk-taking, meaningful exploration and positive interactions
Participate in the supervision, training and mentoring of students, casual employees and volunteers.
Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards,



and organizational policies to create a secure environment and prioritize children's health, safety and well-being
Ensure all cleaning and sanitizing procedures are completed thoroughly and consistently
Ensure that the environment is protected and accessible for all children and families
Review and become familiar with Individual Support/Medical Plans concerning children’s relevant medical conditions, special needs, disabilities, allergies, medication requirements, and emergency contact information

Qualifications
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Standard Level C certificate
Up-to-date immunization records

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
