Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, reliable and honest Mechanic to join our maintenance team for the next few months . The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an chance to work in a garage where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are highly valued. The Mechanic will play a crucial part in supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.

The business has been in operation for over 25 years and is a busy, fully equipped garage with the latest scanner technology and computer software, and licensed with the Ontario DriveOn program.

Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on customer vehicles
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
Repair mechanical issues and/or replace faulty components as needed
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and implementing effective solutions




Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
Keep work areas organized and secure at all times

Requirements
Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar maintenance role
Ability to read technical manuals
Experience with Sage and Protractor an asset
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and power tools effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Current Class A mechanic's license required;
Technical training and ongoing certifications related to mechanics are preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks as required

Pay: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
