Logistics Support Manager, Aerospace & Defence

About the role

Our client, an established aerospace and defence company, is looking for a Logistics Support Manager to lead its Calgary logistics operation. The site is small, but the job is big. They need someone who can step back, assess how things run today, and lead real change to their processes, systems and team structure.

This is a leadership role, not a hands-on warehouse lead position. You'll set the direction and lead through supervisors and team leads.

What you'll do
Assess current logistics and warehouse processes and lead a plan to redesign and improve them
Drive process change from planning through rollout, including getting the team on board
Own resource planning, staffing and priorities for the site
Lead and develop supervisors and team leads
Set KPIs and use data to track performance and guide decisions
Work with procurement, operations, quality and leadership, including stakeholders in the US
Keep the site compliant with regulatory and customer requirements

What you bring
5+ years of operations, logistics or supply chain management experience




A track record of leading significant process improvement or change (for example, a system rollout, a site redesign, or an operational turnaround)
Experience leading through supervisors or team leads
Aerospace, defence, MRO or another regulated industry background
Experience with ERP, MRP or WMS systems
Solid communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior leadership
Required: 3+ years working in aerospace, aviation, MRO or defence (for example, aircraft parts, materials control, aerospace manufacturing or defence logistics)

Nice to have
Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/CPIM or similar
Experience with Controlled Goods, ITAR or AS9100/AS9120 settings
Experience with aerospace inventory systems (TRAX, AMOS, SAP or similar) and parts traceability or certification requirements

Pay: $95,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
