We are seeking a Purchasing Agent with a passion for apparel and outdoor accessories. This role combines purchasing and inventory planning with supplier relationships and regular communication across internal teams.
We’re looking for someone who knows outdoor clothing and enjoys working with people. You build relationships easily, ask thoughtful questions, and keep others informed. You follow through on commitments and communicate clearly when priorities change or challenges arise.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase apparel based on inventory needs, sales trends, and customer demand.
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and backorders, providing timely updates to internal teams.
Work closely with sales and operations to understand product needs and resolve availability issues.
Review product assortments and identify gaps or prospects.
Maintain accurate product information, pricing, and purchasing records.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in purchasing, retail, wholesale,
or a brand or distributor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proactive updates and consistent follow-through.
Solid organization, attention to detail, and comfort managing competing priorities.
Familiarity with spreadsheets and inventory or purchasing systems.
Purchasing or inventory planning experience is an asset.
Candidates with personal or skilled outdoor apparel experience and transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.
