We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Receiver to join our team.
Applicants must be permanent residents of Canada or have extended work permits and they must reside in the Lower Mainland.
Primary Responsibilities:
Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents manually or by computer
Assemble containers, pallets, and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages
Unpack,
code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
Clean and maintain work area
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience in shipping
Minimum high school diploma
Team Player
Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with repetition
Solid written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills
Current forklift certificate – sit-down electric
Solid attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and coordinate
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to make repetitive movements including bending or squatting
Flexible with work hours when needed
