Prairie Comfort Home Care is looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to support a 90-year-old male client in Fort Saskatchewan.
The client is currently bedridden and physically weak, but the goal is to help him regain strength and work toward walking again. He is fully oriented and able to communicate, and his wife, who is also 90, is fully mobile and actively involved in his care.
Care Needs:
Personal care and hygiene assistance
Bedside care and repositioning
Assistance with mobility and transfers as appropriate
Urinary catheter care/support
Medication reminders/assistance — medications are bubble packed
Meal or light household support as needed
Encouragement and companionship
Supporting the client’s gradual return to mobility
A manual sit-to-stand device is available but is not currently being used because the client is too weak. Any mobility or transfer assistance must follow the client’s current care plan and secure-transfer instructions.
Schedule
7 days a week — versatile availability
Available shifts are approximately:
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
6:30 PM – 10:30 PM
You do not need to be available for all days or all shifts. We can work around your availability and adjust the schedule according to the client’s needs.
Pay: $20/hour
We are looking for someone who is:
Compassionate, patient and dependable
Comfortable providing care to a bedbound senior
Experienced with personal care and mobility assistance
Comfortable working alongside a family member involved in care
Reliable and able to follow the client’s care plan and safety procedures
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Pay: $20/hour
