We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dynamic care team. Responsibilities
Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote comfort and dignity
Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols and ensuring safety at all times
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a protected, hygienic, and welcoming setting
Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia, disabilities, or those receiving hospice care
Assist with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when required,
using proper techniques to ensure safety for both the caregiver and the individual
Document care provided accurately in accordance with organizational policies and report any changes in health status promptly
Skills
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly desirable
Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and respect for individual needs
Knowledge of dementia care, hospice support, and working with individuals with disabilities
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting with mobility or transfers
Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to follow detailed instructions related to medication administration and care plans
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and diverse care requirements
