Job Description:

RVH has the largest surgical program in the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) with 65% of surgeons and approximately 80,000 surgical cases annually.

As the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) you are a skilled caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, the College of Nurses (CNO), and all relevant legislation.

As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope
Completion of recognized Medication Administration Course
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current BCLS
Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession




Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
Functions independently within scope of practice
Computer literacy in current software applications

Orthopedic/urology surgery experience and/or education (preferred)
